I believe that true design taste, judgment, and the collaborative process stem from an authentic understanding of oneself—coupled with years of conscious study, observation, practice and meticulous curation.

How I find my way back when I am lost.
Exceptional results are deeply intertwined with one’s state of mind. Empty your thoughts, lose yourself in a book, take a walk, or simply change your surroundings. Look at works through the eyes of an ordinary person—immerse yourself in interviews and behind-the-scenes stories as a fan. Standing on the shoulders of giants, you’ll find yourself reignited by their light and energy. Sometimes, I am even moved by the masters in the printing house; their pure dedication and focus have a way of reigniting my own 'never-give-up' spirit.
My approach to organizing knowledge.
- Writing and recording in notebooks, capturing key insights from each one before it's retired, and carrying them forward into the next.

SHORT BLOG

Some tips from my design career
(1) If a design feels 'formless' or 'uninspired,' it is likely because it lacks a clear 'perspective,' leaving the information dull and unremarkable.
(2) When finalizing a project, one must set aside the ego and choose words with care to ensure the momentum continues.
(3) Utilizing mood boards and 60% completion reviews can significantly mitigate communication risks in the later stages of a project.
(4) Sample your intellectual library from the 'source' rather than seeking inspiration from the 'terminal.' Instead of merely looking at posters, observe and record the subtle, beautiful workings and characteristics of nature and society.
(5) Design is a business game where earning trust is the prerequisite for creative freedom. Success hinges on navigating diverse client personalities, mastering the nuances of communication, and speaking the language of business and negotiation. Beyond individual inspiration, the true key to exceptional results lies in a team that operates with shared passion and mutual respect.

Finding this specific theme and finally getting to realize it is really the sum of everything I’ve been looking for, trying out, and failing at. It’s a concept bookstore and a niche fashion brand that represents a distinct, powerful symbol of my journey. At its heart, it’s about the immersion in books and their spaces—the solitude, the stillness, and the wild imagination that comes with it. If you're interested, leave your email and stay tuned for more of this story.
My favorite stage of the design process.
First and foremost, it’s getting that deposit, of course! But that dopamine hit usually wears off by the evening. I think my absolute favorite part is the internal work—structuring data, sparking ideas, and the act of writing. It brings me so much fulfillment. And then, there’s the client’s approval. Every once in a while, I hit that "sweet spot" with a client who just gets it. Those precise, high-level exchanges that make the final result even better are what I find truly exciting.
What UI/UX Design Taught Me
During university, I ranked first in every design-related course. By my senior year in 2014—when the field was still in its infancy—I co-founded a startup centered around an app. Driven by the founder’s invitation, I decided to step outside the well-defined boundaries of graphic design.

Years later, I’ve come to a major realization: I don’t actually love this role (though I’m perfectly capable of collaborating with it). It was a profound moment of self-discovery. I crave a creative process that is more liberated, expressive, and charismatic—perhaps there’s a touch of vanity in my pursuit of a distinct stylistic identity. At the same time, I find traditional graphic design too rigid and soulless.
3 Key Turning Points in My Career
(1) Designed merchandise for Crowd Lu, which expanded
my professional vision in product design.
(2) Stumbled upon HYPEBEAST in a used bookstore, leading me into the world of NIGO and fashion aesthetics.
(3) Launched my first startup at 22—though it ended in failure, it defined my growth as a creator.
Why do I love fashion?
It’s the aesthetic span, the multi-layered dialogue, and the orchestration of space and weight. It’s about sensing the social pulse and appreciating the craft. Above all, it’s about that spark of excitement a piece can ignite. This field fascinates me because it is where my craving for beauty finds its ultimate fulfillment.
